Conveniently located in a state of the art facility downtown, FDU - Vancouver offers bachelor degree studies for students who seek careers in today’s competitive international marketplace. Its programs also provide an excellent foundation for students wishing to pursue a master’s degree following graduation. Classes follow a three semester calendar to enable students to accelerate their studies and earn their bachelor degree in just three years by attending classes year round. Founded in 1942, FDU is New Jersey's largest private university, serving nearly 12,000 graduate and undergraduate students, including more than 1,000 international students from around the world. The University's two US campuses are in northern New Jersey, near New York City. In addition to FDU - Vancouver, the University owns and operates a campus in Wroxton, England.
Areas of Expertise
The FDU - Vancouver degree programs in Business Management is a part of the Silberman College of Business. Our program focuses on international business and our graduates are ethical decision makers who are ready to assume positions in global and multicultural businesses. They are technologically competent and knowledgeable in the various business disciplines. The Information Technology program is a part of the Gildart Hass School of Computer Science and Engineering. The overarching goal of the program is to prepare students as “information technologists” and professionals who can assist general users, including individuals and organizations, in evaluating needs and solving problems related to information technology (IT), as well as in applying IT effectively in a global work environment driven by rapidly changing technology. The Bachelor of Arts program is a part of Petrocelli College and provides students with a unique opportunity to complete their degree in liberal arts combined with career related specializations in Business, Communications, Applied Technology and Hospitality and Tourism Management. Students may choose to pursue a single area of study in depth or design a program of study by combining liberal arts courses with career related concentrations. The Bachelor of Arts program, which is 120 credit hour program, will provide greater flexibility for transfer credits (up to 90 credits) to students with previous coursework. The Master of Administrative Science (MAS) is offered through Petrocelli College. The MAS is a 30-credit degree structured to meet the career development needs of learners working in administrative and professional positions in the private sector, government agencies and not-for-profit organizations. It's primary purpose is to enhance the adminstrative and leadership skills of graduates while developing managerial effectiveness. The program combines cognitive and interactive ways of learning through specializations in Human Resources Administration, Global Technology Administration, Computer Security and Forensic Administration, Global Health and Human Services Administration, Emergency Services Management and Global Leadership & Admininstration. Fairleigh Dickinson University’s Pre-University Program focuses on helping international students overcome these obstacles. International students who meet the University’s admission standards, but who require additional training in academic English and learning skills, will be placed in the Pre-University Program. This positive and supportive learning environment prepares them for academic success upon entry to the degree program of their choice, in Business Management, Information Technology or the Arts program. The Pre-University program also allows caters to Graduate students who meet admission requirements to the Master of Administrative Science program, but require additional training in academic English skills.

FDU degree programs require British Columbia Grade 12 graduation (or equivalent provincial high school diploma) including English 12 and Principles of Mathematics 12 (or equivalent). Provincially examinable courses and the SAT are not required by the University. Students who have completed Communication 12 and Principles of Math 11 may qualify to complete FDU - Vancouver's Pre-University Program and may then enter the undergraduate program of their choice. Applicants must provide two letters of recommendation from a teacher or instructor, or from an employer. Students applying to the Master of Administrative Science program must also provide a Statement of Purpose for entry into the program. Transfer students are accepted. FDU - Vancouver is a program member of the British Columbia Council on Admission and Transfer. Until further notice, credit will be awarded on a case by case basis.
Requirements for International Students
International students are required to have completed high school and meet the university entrance standards in their country of study. Students must also submit proof of English language proficiency by providing a standardized test score or proof of having completed their high school education at a school where English is the primary language of instruction. Students from the United States, Bermuda, the Bahamas, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand do not need to submit test scores. Applicants who have previously attended a high school, college, or university in the United States or Canada for more than two years and have earned passing grades in English courses may be exempt from an English proficiency exam. The following exams and scores are accepted as proof of proficiency in English: TOEFL Computer based: 213 or higher (190 for PUP program) Internet based: 79 or higher (68 for PUP program Paper based: 550 or higher (520 for PUP program) IELTS Overall band: 6.0 or higher (5.5 for PUP program) SAT Verbal score: 420 or higher Students may also satisfy their English language requirement through completing their studies through a pathway program at one of our partner language schools. See the Web site for more details. Applicants must provide two letters of recommendation from a teacher or instructor, or from an employer if the applicant has not been attending school recently. Students applying to the Master of Administrative Science program must also provide a Statement of Purpose for entry into the program.

Applications and scholarships are processed on a rolling basis, so it is best to apply as early as possible. Scholarships are not available for the Master of Administrative Science program.
