Beijing Union University, established upon the approval of the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China in 1985, is a comprehensive municipal university of Beijing. BUU originated from over 30 branch campuses attached to such universities as Peking University and Tsinghua University.

Associations
Founded in 2004, BUU Union of Students Associations is a student organization under the direct guidance of BUU Youth League Committee, responsible for the administration and development of multi-functional and diversified associations in literature & arts, professional practice, science & technology, hobbies of diversified kinds and athletic sports.
The union aims to fully stimulate the initiative and creativeness of various associations and their members, to organize a wide range of activities in a colorful, tasty, valuable and meaningful way, and to boost students’ ability of study, application, organization and innovation.
Volunteer Service
Volunteer service is a major means for BUU students to contribute to promoting spiritual civilization and self-development as well as an important manifestation of their values to engage themselves in the society, contribute to the society and repay the society.

Accommodation at BUU
Beijing Union University International Student Residence is reserved for long-term and short-term international students studying at College of International Education of BUU. Two buildings are available for international students: Building C and Building D.
There are 107 Standard Rooms with 208 beds. All rooms are designed and furnished at the standard of 3 or 4 star hotel. Besides, the college also provides favorable price and high-standard service to our students.
All rooms are equipped with air conditioner、television、telephone and private bathroom so as to provide reasonable comfort for the occupants and facilitate tidiness.
There is a wireless network that covers the whole campus. Dorms are also equipped with internet access.
BUU is equipped with dining halls on campus. The average daily meal cost is about 20 RMB. International students also use BUU IC cards to pay for their meals.

Intensive Chinese Language Course Introduction to the Program The Intensive Chinese Language Course is a 1 semester to 1 year Chinese language program for international students. Objectives Through one academic year (Fall and Spring Semesters, totally 36 weeks) of study，students shall reach HSK 4-5 in Chinese Proficiency Test and pass College Entrance Examination.
Short-term Chinese Training Programs
Short-term Chinese Training Programs Introduction to the Program Short-term Chinese training programs vary from 2 to 6 weeks, focusing on developing speaking skill, and the college does not stipulate students’ Chinese proficiency level. About the Program The Chinese language classes are taken in the morning on weekdays, for a total of 20 hours per week.
